Please Help Us.

This year has broken all of our records. We have rescued over 1300 animals this year which is already more than any year before. The year isn't over and more animals will be brought to us. Caring for the sick and injured has resulted in a lot of vet bills and we need your help to continue our work. Please help if you can, even a couple of dollars helps.

About Us

Founded in 2015 by Bethany Brown, Saco River Wildlife Center is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides rehabilitative care to ill, injured, or orphaned Maine wildlife with the ultimate goal of returning them to their natural environment. Though located in Limington, SRWC acts as a vital resource to wildlife and communities all across the state of Maine. In 2020 the center doubled its intake of animals from previous years, bringing them close to 600 patients. SRWC admits most native mammal species including raccoons, squirrels, porcupines, opossums, skunks, weasels, and foxes. Our mission is to provide best practice treatment to all patients in our care with the ultimate goal of release.

SRWC Ongoing Projects

As we continue to grow as a vital resource to Maine communities, the need for our center also continues to grow rapidly. We are limited by space at the center and have recently announced our expansion fundraiser. We are in dire need of new space that will include an examination room, intake area, isolation units, larger overwinter space, and more! Such a facility will help maximize the number of lives we can save...but we need your help. Will you consider supporting our center? Click the link below to learn more!
